Workshop cum seminar on Heidegger’s Treatment of Being, Dasein and related Concepts at AICUF College, Bhopal from 1 to 5 October 2020.

Centre for Phenomenological Studies proposes to organize its next five-day workshop cum seminar on Heidegger’s Treatment of Being, Dasein and related Concepts at AICUF College, Bhopal from 1 to 5 October 2020.

Lectures will be delivered by Dr V. C. Thomas during the morning session on all five days. Special lectures on various aspects of Heidegger’s philosophy will be delivered during the afternoon session by Dr Saurabh Todariya, NIAS, Bangalore (Transcendence in Heidegger and Kashmir Shaivism), Dr Devasia M. Antony, Hindu College, Delhi (Thinking About Thinking After Heidegger), Dr P.  Deepak, IIT, Bombay (Heidegger and the Philosophy of Communication), Dr Antony Puthuserry, Madras University, Chennai (Dwelling and Space in Heidegger) and Dr James Kurian, Madras Christian College, Chennai (Heidegger on Aesthetic Experience). The seminar presentations by participants will commence after the special lecture on each day. 

To get admission to the programme the participants are required to present a paper during the workshop. Therefore, participants are requested to submit, a 2-3 page abstract of the proposed paper on or before 15th September 2020.  Moreover, the participants have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) towards accommodation, food and other miscellaneous expenses. You may register your name at the earliest by sending an email to Dr V. C. Thomas ( Maximum number of participants admissible will be 30 and your accommodation will be in 2 or 3 bedded rooms. 

The programme will be held in the first week of October 2020 provided Covid-19 vanishes from our country completely and the Govt. withdraws restrictions on assembly. So please do not book your journey tickets until you hear from us again. If we are unable to hold the programme in October 2020, we will reschedule it as soon as possible. Kindly inform your friends and colleagues about the programme.
